The 5K Walk/Run is the signature piece of the Oklahoma City Race for the Cure. Our beautiful 3.1 mile course begins at the corner of Couch and Walker between Oklahoma City Civic Center and The City Hall. The timed runner start is at 8:00 a.m., followed by the casual runners/walkers start at 8:30 a.m.
For those who want to walk, but don't want to do the whole 5K, the 1-Mile Family Fun Run is for you! The 1-Mile begins at 8:30 a.m.
Runners who wish to be timed can purchase a timing chip ($5) during the registration process or at the Registration Area on Race Day. Participants who wish to be eligible for runner awards and medals must purchase timing chip and be at the Start line by 7:50 a.m. on Race Day. Runner awards are announced during the closing ceremony.
The Oklahoma City Race for the Cure is truly a family event! After the 5K or 1-Mile Family Fun Run, bring your young Racers (ages 2-12) to our Kids for the Cure area located on the great lawn of the Civic Center. Kids are invited to participate in crafts, face painting, games, and a obstacale course. The area is open beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Did you know that you don't even have to show up on October 22, 2016 to be a part of the Oklahoma City Race for the Cure? Hit that snooze button and know that you've done your part in the fight against breast cancer. When you register for the Sleep In for the Cure program ($30), you will receive a Race t-shirt, snooze bib, and a special Sleep In gift.
Our local and national sponsors will be set up on the lawn with plenty of food, games, and giveaways. Also, stay for the Survivors Parade, when we celebrate, honor, and remember Breast Cancer Survivors and Forever Fighters - they're the reason that we Race! Finally, stick around to see if you or your team has won an award during our Awards Ceremony.
